B2BIKE, CIMA, and EMEB Expand Their Training Programs with the Level A Professional Bicycle Mechanic Certification

As part of their commitment to educational excellence and in response to the rapid evolution of bicycle technology, the training centers B2BIKE (Chile), CIMA (Colombia), and EMEB (Spain) have expanded their educational programs to include the Level A – Master Bicycle Mechanic certification, the highest level within the international training framework developed and endorsed by the International Association of Professional Bicycle Mechanics (AIMPB).

This new certification completes the AIMPB professional education pathway, which now consists of:

  • Level C: Fundamentals of Bicycle Mechanics.
  • Level B: Professional Bicycle Mechanics.
  • Level A: Master Bicycle Mechanic, focused on advanced technologies, diagnostics, and next-generation bicycle systems.

The introduction of Level A responds to the growing demand from manufacturers, distributors, professional cycling teams, and leading companies across the Americas and Europe for highly qualified bicycle mechanics capable of servicing today’s most advanced bicycles.

Advanced Training for the Next Generation of Bicycle Technology

The Level A – Master Bicycle Mechanic program prepares experienced professionals to diagnose, service, and repair the latest bicycle technologies through advanced technical instruction in subjects including:

  • Tribology and lubricant science for suspension systems.
  • Advanced hydraulic systems.
  • Design and tuning of high-speed and low-speed hydraulic damping circuits.
  • Valve tuning (valving), hydraulic cartridges, and vacuum pump applications.
  • Full-suspension frame design and suspension kinematics.
  • Electronic diagnostics and digital communication protocols.
  • Sensors and electronic systems used in modern e-bikes.
  • Advanced battery diagnostics and battery management systems.
  • Telemetry for bicycle performance analysis.
  • Advanced diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures for next-generation bicycles.

Training Centers Committed to Excellence

With the addition of the Level A curriculum, B2BIKE, CIMA, and EMEB further strengthen their position as leading bicycle mechanic training centers, aligning their educational programs with the international technical and academic standards established by the AIMPB.

Their mission is to prepare professionals with the knowledge and skills required to meet the challenges of an industry that continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace.

AIMPB: Setting the Global Standard for Professional Bicycle Mechanic Education

The International Association of Professional Bicycle Mechanics (AIMPB) remains committed to promoting and validating the highest international standards in bicycle mechanic education.

Through the accreditation of training centers, continuous curriculum development, and internationally recognized professional certifications, the AIMPB continues to establish itself as a global leader in technical education for the bicycle industry.

As bicycle technology continues to evolve, so must the professionals who service it. The Level A – Master Bicycle Mechanic certification represents the highest level of technical training for mechanics who aspire to lead the future of the bicycle service industry.
