AIMPB Announces the Creation of the International Technical Mentors Network

The International Association of Professional Bicycle Mechanics (AIMPB) is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the AIMPB International Technical Mentors Program, an initiative created to recognize and bring together professionals who, through their experience, expertise, and dedication to education, have made significant contributions to the advancement of bicycle mechanics in their respective countries.

Over the years, thousands of bicycle mechanics have relied on the internet as an invaluable source of learning, benefiting from the work of experienced professionals who freely share their knowledge through videos, technical articles, conferences, online courses, and hands-on demonstrations. What Is an AIMPB Technical Mentor?

An AIMPB Technical Mentor is a highly respected professional who has consistently demonstrated a long-term commitment to technical education, professional ethics, and the promotion of best practices in bicycle mechanics.

Their primary mission is to share knowledge, inspire the next generation of mechanics, and contribute to the technical growth of the global bicycle service community.

Technical Mentors embody the values of the AIMPB and serve as trusted sources of knowledge, leadership, and professional excellence within the industry.

What Are the Responsibilities of a Technical Mentor?

Among their primary responsibilities are:

• Encouraging lifelong professional development and continuing education.

Technical Mentors do not serve as legal representatives of the AIMPB, do not issue official certifications, and do not replace AIMPB Accredited Training Centers. Their role is to strengthen the professional community through knowledge sharing, education, and the promotion of technical excellence.

A Merit-Based Selection Process

Appointment as an AIMPB Technical Mentor is not obtained through an open application process or based on social media popularity.

Each candidate will be carefully evaluated by the AIMPB according to criteria such as:
